Site Manager

37 hours, Early and Late Shifts, Out of Hours Cover, Permanent, All Year Round.
Dayspring Trust is a strong Church of England Multi-Academy Trust, with Secondary Schools in Stockton and Sunderland. We are currently in the process of a merger to bring Dayspring Trust and Northern Lights Learning Trust together in Spring 2023, so this is an exciting time to join us.
The Directors of the Trust are seeking to recruit a highly skilled and creative facilities professional to build and drive a new approach and set best practice standards at Venerable Bede. Reporting to the Executive Operations Manager, the Site Manager will be responsible for the development and delivery of all facilities matters at the school, managing day to day essential site services including the planned maintenance programme and oversee the delivery of statutory compliance tasks.
This position requires proven building maintenance skills, previous line management/leadership experience, excellent IT skills and the ability to work collaboratively. The successful candidate will hold a minimum of 5 GCSE’s including English and Maths GCSE grade C or above. A caretaking qualification, IOSH Managing Safely qualification or a recognised trade qualification and/or relevant experience – would be advantageous.
A first aid qualification is also essential for this role and so the successful candidate should hold, or be willing to obtain this immediately.
